Social Media - Bias - Psychological Impact

This line - "Hurting people at Scale" from article caught my attention.

My perspective is

• We have moved away from looking at things from the Data perspective
• Taking Sides becomes easier than thinking

Some recent trends/impact we observe

• Rate of the speed of news spread both positive/negative news
• Uncensored contents
• Hate posts / contents
• Anyone who is famous can post anything without validation. History can be erased/rewritten
• Data Scandals, Personalized targeted political ads

The line from the article summarizes - "I think Facebook is hurting people at scale". From being a platform positive impact it has moved everyone towards bias and ignorance/arrogance.

Economical Impact
This article -  mentions how Facebook runs the entire online buying economy in Bangladesh. Used for a commercial purpose is much better than become a biased news media.
