meritocracy is not only false: it’s bad for you

I have been stumbled upon this assumption for a long time. It took me 4 decades to observe, assume, interpret, experience to arrive at

meritocracy does not measure creativity
meritocracy does not measure innovation
meritocracy is a measure of the speed of solving the problem
meritocracy is a measure of awareness of concept in a comparative fashion
Number of toppers will not equal the number of innovations

To become an expert in developing solutions, We need to do a lot of

• Experimentation
• Learning
• Deep Dive
• Passion
• Continuous learning mindset

Growth should be measured in terms of 

• Inclusiveness
• Collective Learning
• Growth-oriented mindset

Merely clearing an exam / acquiring degrees with good scores is not a measure of knowledge.
