Job and Salary

Salary for a job is dependent on Supply - Demand principle.

Salary also depends on

• Availability of labor, More the availability lesser the salary
• Impact of the job, Automation / Large scale impact will have higher wages
• Not just skill but also impact of job plays a role
• Teaching, Doctor are jobs that may not pay as much as Engineers but they play a crucial role in shaping next generation

We don't get X salary for what we do today. But knowledge workers it's all about how relevant, practical the ideas are with respect to impact/implementation. Salary is not about experience/education, It is more about awareness, understanding, and designing things to let your customers take a lead and reap the technology to take business to next level.

Sometimes you need to stand out of crowd to get new perspectives, ideas, etc..

I have missed a few moments where it hit badly on the speed bumpers. Need to be careful, hard to spot with no signs or colors at night. Ghost rider, as always and will be forever. A bit of back pain taking a few medications too. Can't stop driving but there is pleasure in pain too.

Few things I need to be clear about. How better to live in isolation. How to cut downtime on time-pass activities. I have not achieved anything well till this point. A lot of distractions. Only during late-night, I get the focus and interest. Hope I do better as a night owl in the coming months.

Kannur in a day

This time took a one-day ride to Kannur. As usual ghost rider, Started the ride @ 2AM. Yea 2AM you read it right :)

Some people are awake when the world sleeps. Drive through Nagarhole tiger reserve. Mist / Fog and the morning breeze

Kerala roads are not my cup of tea. I crossed the border @ 7.45AM and reached Kannur @ 11. Driving in narrow city traffic was too difficult 

In return took some nice nature pics. Overall it was close to 800kms on the same day.

Three kinds of people @ work

• People who know something and project something else. They will get it done through their connections but will project a larger picture than what they know. The problem is since they never did anything on their own. They will never know the true effort or appreciate anything

• People who know what they don't know but don't make an effort to learn. This becomes the comfort zone. Survive with what I know without learning anything new. They neither try nor fight but yet they survive

• People who know what they don't know but make an attempt and win/lose both ways. It's better to make an attempt than to try to remain the same forever.

Until you never try, you will never know what you are capable of. Never bully or get bullied. No one can define your potential. You have to write your own story. Make it worthy to read on your last day of life.

• How to ensure we create a more morally and kind society?

Think beyond religion, race. We need morality for humanity to survive.

If you have to go far, you have to go together to grow together. Never accept poverty is due to own situation. It is the duty of the government to ensure all its citizens live a decent life. The state of society is a reflection of leadership and economic policies. 

Do not blame society if we see more crimes, dowry deaths, bribery. We have all contributed to the mindset, growth, attitude of society. When there is organized business for child labour, trafficking, land mafia, commercialization of water, education where do the poor and underprivileged end up in this society.

A lot of potential is trapped in millions of kids who are filtered out with competitive and multiple-choice questions. A system designed to filter people is a failed system. A system that promotes experimentation and free thinking can only help anyone innovate. The commercialization of schools, entrance exams are a curse against quality education for all.

With too many things around and the curse of cheap internet, we are losing control of kids, teens, individuals.

It's a shame with cheap internet we are losing the fewer good things what was not spoiling society. Internet is also another addiction like drugs, alcohol. It influences, there are no guidelines, limits. It is going to be up to the individual to draw the line. The cases of suicides with online games, loans, blackmail everything reveals the trap is so invisible that you do not know the issues.

• Highway commute everywhere I pay taxes for toll

If every individual is honest

• The true earning will be at a different level

• The education growth would be amazing

Having a system to account for everything and cheating ourselves is the reason we never got the true impact. When society speaks something and lives something always there will be a gap between rich and poor.

Being a Good Son

I regret hurting my mom a lot. In a way I gave x expectations for marriage, My mom has Y expectations. Often X <> Y and Z are girls' side. In a way, I am in freeze mode to have any conversation. 

It takes loads of transparency to accept, understand and discuss things. I have lost faith based on my experiences. I am neither perfect but I am not afraid to call out the true version of self to understand the compatibility. Education, Job, Family nothing can reveal the true nature of the self. Maybe everyone fights to keep the good things and reduce the bad things. Within us, there is a battle for being good vs being selfish. At least Hope I don't hurt my mom anymore. 

Somewhere I felt I am half dead with my own thoughts, loneliness. It's not what you miss, it's what you feel you miss. There is a more optimistic side of life to enjoy. Keep your face towards the sunshine and enjoy the journey.
